This article will guide you through the steps to clear the cache in Google Chrome on a Windows device. Why Clear the Cache?

Steps to Clear Cache in Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome: Launch the Google Chrome browser on your Windows device.

  2. Access the Settings Menu: Click the three vertical dots (menu icon) in the upper right corner of the window.

  3. Click on "Clear Browsing Data": In the submenu that appears, click on “Clear browsing data.”



  4. Choose a Time Range:A new window will pop up. You can select a time range from the dropdown menu. Options include:

    • Last hour

    • Last 24 hours

    • Last 7 days

    • Last 4 weeks

    • All time

  5. Select Cached Images and Files: Make sure to check the box next to "Cached images and files."

  6. Clear Data: Click the "Clear data" button. The cache will be cleared according to your selected time range.

  7. Restart Chrome: Close and reopen Google Chrome to ensure that the changes take effect.
